Why do we feel lonely even we're not alone??
**Teacher=
When we're talking loneliness, we're also talking about an emptiness , isn't it? It's hard to describe ,loneliness includes other things,too,like fear. We experienced it not only when we're all by ourselves but even when we're with huge crowds of people ,with our family , friends or even after the most intimate sexual relationship that you can imagine. Some people experience great loneliness right after they have a sexual experience with someone they really love. They'll roll over on their back and they're still lonely.
**Student=
What's the root cause of loneliness ?
**Teacher=
According to Scriptures, the reason we experience loneliness is because we are away from GOD.In other words we have to view the subject of loneliness in connection and our relationship to GOD. He Himself states.." Long ago ,you knew me as your bestfriend , but now you have forgotten Me, trying to live separately from Me and enjoy separately from Me.
**Student=
So the problem is that we have now forgotten the relationship with the Lord?
**Teacher=
Yes, but that relationship is still there . It wil always be there just like water will always be wet.It's an essential part of yourself. You will always be related to God and that relationship will always be there.You can forget it but you can't end it.The reason you feel lonely is because you are now away from God. You are separate from God and this is the real root cause of loneliness. Different people experience loneliness at different times but it's the same experience. We've all experienced it and although various events can cause of loneliness to come to the forefront ,the root remains the same. No matter what the conditions are-- the country you live in,the type of government you have(capitalist or communist), the language you speak,the color your skin,your gender-- we are all sparks of God. And each of us experiences loneliness because we have left God. We are away from God because we do not have that unity with God.
But in a sense, it's good to experience loneliness if we can recognize it for what it is and let it motivate us to seek our relationship with God. In other words , turn a negative into positive. Let loneliness turn into spiritual longing for God!

katy rightly said..... yes when we realise that someone is there always to guide you...and your belief in God is very strong...you always sense his presence...That makes you feel confident...You are never alone....Some need enlightned living beings to help them find the way to God....Some need help badly....some have it in them...But eventually getting god nearer you is the solution for loneliness.:-)
I dunno, right now all this seems to simply go "over my head" ^_^... maybe its 'coz of my mood swings :)

..yeah,that's very true yaar!sometimes i do have the same feeling...thinking why we still feel lonely even when we're with our family and all the people we love? and the answer of course is ,for not being connected with God.
We forgotten Him sometimes when we're happy but when we're down ,we'll probably remember Him.
I'm thankful too that we have fellow believers around to remind and to gave us help.

Relationship between lord and us??
We are Gods ourselves.It is jus that we didnot really discover the God in us.So loneliness is something which cannot be attained till death.
We always live with our thoughts,with our dreams,with our plans,with the friendship of our frens,with blessings of elders.
So jus we can feel loneliness but such a thing is not there.Right?

Loneliness allows u to realise certain aspects of spirituality...cos it's when ur alone that u can think clearly and in an uncluttered manner. And the stillness of it allows to u to be one with God.

it because we don't know what we're lookin for. sometimes it's really there in front of us but we still close our eyes that's why we are able to see things clearly.
being alone brings loneliness because we allow it to.

yes, the world is full of lonely people. because we're afraid of being hurt in the process. to overcome this let us be one with Him as he said "come to me all you are weary and find life burdensome, and i will refresh you"
i guess what it's saying is that loneliness is a feeling of being alone. but with God by one's side, one will always have a friend and therefore won't feel alone. kath, thanks for sharing.

..oh u feel alone? yeah, everybody is busy in their work and we have to look for our place to go.I mean like me, i don't work ...i'm just busy taking care of rina and all my works at home so when i have free time, i used to read books, surfin 'on net, chat with my sisters and chillin' with my friends.
..in that way maybe i overcome loneliness.
..so cheer up yaar, install any messenger on ur pc (yahoo,hotmail or G-talk) so we can chat sometimes.Let me know na when u have it...^_^
